I've spent 25 years recruiting across Asia Pacific — Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur. Commodities trading, financial services, technology, agriculture. Thousands of placements. Tens of thousands of CVs read.
And the thing that always frustrated me wasn't the bad candidates. It was the good ones who never got through.
Genuinely qualified people — smart, experienced, capable — whose CVs just didn't land. Wrong keywords. Wrong structure. Wrong emphasis. They'd apply to roles they were perfect for and hear nothing back. Not because they weren't good enough, but because their CV didn't speak the language that ATS systems and hiring managers were scanning for.
I'd spend hours rewriting CVs for candidates I was placing. Restructuring their experience, pulling out the achievements that mattered, aligning their language with what the hiring team actually wanted to see. And it worked — the same person, same experience, completely different outcome.

That's why I built Outscored. Not as another AI tool that generates generic cover letters or inflates your achievements. But as a way to give every candidate the same advantage that my placement candidates got — a recruiter's eye on their CV before they hit send.
The AI does the heavy lifting, but the methodology is mine. Every prompt, every scoring rubric, every piece of advice is grounded in what I've seen work across thousands of real placements. It thinks the way I think when I'm reading a CV — because I taught it to.
